He'd probably do a better job than some of the lads we've seen in a Sunderland shirt this season LOL

Not ruling out starting the season on -10 points and a team full of academy players at this stage.
Bar the youth team thing that's were Saints were not so long ago so relegation again might be a blessing in disguise in the long run

I have no idea what you are on about here. I didn't ask for a reply prior to that at all Confused. I simply said that I was delighted Sunderland went down before I wrote what you highlighted, that's it! Where have I subsequently complained about you giving a reply?

He only gets booed and dogs abuse at just about every ground in England Ermm

Not that I have noticed to the same extent but to be fair it's not as if I follow every match of West Brom's so perhaps you're right. What crystallised the whole thing for me was that match at the Hawthorns where they absolutely went to town on him. He made a point of going down to the Sunderland fans after West Brom won to give it back to some of them. Now he shouldn't of done it, a professional should be able to rise above these things, but it would show the abuse he was taking that he was delighted to give it back to them.

Eh, well if you're going to be childish about it what's the point. I merely stated that it was Sunderland who gave him his chance in English football, nothing more nothing less. No mention of being a club who won't give young lads a chance or that they won't look beyond the North East for players etc but sure it seems you have your little agenda now.

How in god's name am I being childish LOL. You have used one line without including the rest of the what should be quoted! You didn't merely state that Sunderland was the club who gave him his big break. You made the point that I was ignoring that Sunderland were the club who gave him his break, the clear implication being that I should take that into account when commenting on McClean (once again I hope I got that right!) and Sunderland. In response I pointed out, and not unreasonably in my view, that it's not as if Sunderland are devoid of self interest and they gave McClean a break because he's a nice lad or whatever. They gave McClean a break purely on the basis that they thought he would improve Sunderland AFC. Now if you think that's childish, well fair enough.

So just like you, the extent of my interest in what you think about Sunderland stretches no further to the point that I'm just replying because you asked me for my opinion.

Except I didn't actually ask for your opinion (not that I have any problem with you stating it). You decided to point out a typo and write the word "wow" in capital letters. Now it was clear you were not happy with my sentiments so rather than hiding behind spelling, I felt it would be better if you actually said what you wanted to say.

True. But some cities have bigger links to one or two clubs thank others. I see Sunderland as on of them.
