All dark clouds over the Stadium of Light right now. Indications are that Stewart Donald will still be there at the start of next season and the instability that goes with uncertainty over the club's long term future is making it an unattractive proposition for free agent players. Already Eoin Doyle, a prolific goal scorer, has opted for a move to Bolton in preference to Sunderland and the ongoing turnover in players who are out of contract or too expensive to keep on is making any sort of planning difficult in the extreme. Troubling times for this sleeping giant.

Difficult and worrying times GC. It's nearly 200 days since the club went up for sale and whilst Hong Kong businessman Sammy Yu and American based Englishman Mark Campbell are thought to be interested in taking over the club there has been no concrete news about either of their interest. Speculation from Sunderland journo Phil Smith asking these three questions:- 1 No genuine willingness to sell the club? 2 The Financial terms are putting off prospective buyers? 3 The clubs overall financial state putting off buyers?

Phil Smith doesn't have a f**king scooby because Mark Campbell had a bid agreed not so long ago.
The problem is he failed the fit and proper owners test, and then he failed it again prior to that when trying to buy Falkirk. When you look at the nutjob or poor owners in football and they all managed to pass a test implemented by Karl Oyston and this chap failed it not but twice to the point even the SFA told him to do one, screams serious fruitloop alert.

Looks like Sunderland reject Kyle Lafferty will be playing in Serie A next season, if he accepts an offer from newly promoted Reggina.

Even though I never seen her, I'd say Reggina s offer should be too interesting to turn down 😁

Donald valuing the club at £36.5 million not including the £20 million loan he tried to fraud the Yanks or the £30 million he siphoned from the club for the relegation package.
Making the club about as appealing as a lab based in Wuhan. Bare in mind he's only invested £16 million. A total con job.

Stewart Donald saying in an interview yesterday that he has repaid some loans and will pay the rest back in full. Of course this remains to be seen. |

Doesn't make any difference at all as he's still the majority shareholder.
Just a case of whether he appoints 1 of his mates from Eastleigh like he did with Jim Rodwell or someone competent. If it's the former then the club is in serious trouble. Listening to anything what that man says you have to be gullible beyond belief.

And Donald has claimed that Sunderland will have a bigger budget to work with than any other League One side. Still chaotic times, though. Nobody knows what the team will even look like next season. McGeady will still probably be on the books as Charlton have been hit with a transfer embargo and cannot sign him until it is lifted, but he won't get a game if Parkinson remains as manager.

With no recruitment team now I presume Parkinson will have to do the lot? Just hope he doesn't sign Ben Alnwick!!

Need to be able sign players first.
If the proposed salary cap goes ahead that makes Sunderland ineligible to sign anyone. People like McGeady would need paying off first.
