Petty comment What difference does it make if an ex Rangers man is in charge of Sunderland? Dick Advocatt kept us up not too long ago! Alex Rae was a fine player for Sunderland and should he get the job, he will at least be an ex Sunderland man who knows what it’s all about from the inside. According to the Beebs Press Association chief football writer Simon Stone Stewart Donald is meeting with the EFL tomorrow. Hopefully some light at the end of the tunnel.

Just wondering, did all the Sunderland lads learn the same type of typing style, use of emoticons and posting of ‘reports’ without links in the same place?

Is there? No mention of it online, or so a quick internet search suggests and isn't on any betting shortlist. I know Sunderland seem to want to continue to shoot themselves in the foot, but even by those standards Paul Ince would seem absurd.

An article over the weekend was highlighting how the parachute payments to relegated PL teams are a huge disadvantage to the other clubs in the Championship and lower leagues, so for Sunderland to get relegated again, despite having this additional advantage is quite the achievement
