Playing in the championship on 4-10k a month??? I thought it was said when Towell first moved he was on 6k a week with Brighton, he won't be giving that up to move back to Ireland

Sorry, missed the monthly bit Embarrassed

I don't think that he would necessarily have to drop a division to get game time? Watching the Championship week in week out, he can definitely compete at this level - even his fitness and physicality alone would get him in most bottom half teams. Let's not forget that Paul Green forged a respectable career playing in the 2nd tier!

A loan move to a bottom half Championship team is very achievable ... as long as their scouts know where to look.

If he's getting paid as much as some are saying why would he want a move. having been paid nothing for years, he needs to make hay while the sun shines

It was a lovely finish from richie. Just like when he was back at dundalk. Pity about the result though. He will find it very hard though to get minutes in the league with brighton though. Its possible another championship team might take him on loan before the window shuts.

Brilliant finish Clap  As doherty said I think he'll struggle to get gametime in the league for Brighton, wouldn't mind seeing him go out on loan

Forget a loan - he should leave on a permanent deal to another Championship team, like Barnsley or someone if they'd have him.

He obviously has great potential but is unlikely to be a permanent fixture in this Brighton team at any point this season, or particularly next season, if they are in the PL.

Hopefully Hughton gives him a bit of league time now though.

Loan deal would not effect wages

Lads, is this guy injured, 'cos he's not even getting bench time any more?

With Brighton inevitably being promoted next week or the week after, he will see zero game-time in the PL.

Time to be seriously thinking about a loan or permanent move somewhere else if he wants any chance at a career in England.  Preston anyone?
