Scores loads for a centre back. Wish we had kept him at Sunderland

One to really watch for the next campaign. Expect him to be playing Championship football next season and with our dearth of options at centre back I think we'll see him around the squad sooner rather than later. O'Neill will have worked with him previously at Sunderland too.

Named in the PFA League 1 team of the year. Will be interesting to see where he ends up next year if he doesn't sign his new deal with the Gills.

Good interview with him on the42 yesterday
Looks likely he will move on from Gillingham in the summer as he is out of contract. Brentford had a bid rejected on deadline day this year |

I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

Looks like the Brentford move is nearly a done deal:

You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995" |

Best of luck to John I think he could have made a good career for himself at SAFC but for two bad Injuries. MON took him on a close season tour with the first team squad so therefore must have rated him.
Son Of Six-Time All-Ireland Winner Signs For Championship Side BrentfordBrentford have offically signed Ireland U21 international John Egan from Gillingham after the deal was agreed a month ago. Last season Egan, born in Cork, was named in the League One Team of the Season as Gillingham finished five points off the playoff places. In 36 league appearances, he scored six goals. His debut season for Gillingham was also an excellent one as he was named the club's Player of the Year. Egan - who is the son of six-time Kerry All-Ireland winner John Egan - originally began his career in English football with Sunderland. He was released by the club two years ago and was snapped up by Gillingham. The 23-year-old centre-back has signed a three-year deal with the Championship side At Brentford, Egan will team up with Ireland international Alan Judge who towards the end of the season suffered a broken leg while playing against Ipswich. You may recall Egan, while on loan at Southend in 2014, scoring this screamer. Edited by Double Maxim - 03 Jul 2016 at 6:13am |
