If cork lost those games in hand then it could get interesting. It depends on who they can bring in to replace maguire. Can they still sign players? Hes a massive loss.

I don't think we'll see any more transfers coming into City, Caulfield said not long ago that he doesn't expect City to make any more signings as the budget is done for the year.

While Maguire will obviously be a massive loss, I'd be fairly confident that we should be okay for a goalscorer, Karl Sheppard could move into the position of striker, and Beattie or Sadlier can move out wide

Peter Ridsale is at Turners Cross tonight (Preston North End Owner's advisor)

Would say PNE are far from done with Cork players

The whole PNE first team squad are there too, as is Alex Neil. The club have been at a training camp in Fota, Maguire and O' Connor have been down and all.

Kevin O'Connor is not even in the squad today. Injury or perhaps Caulfield has had enough of some below par performances?

Solid win, that's exactly what we wanted. Good to see Bennett play the full 90 as well, he'll be vital for Cyprus.

After today's win, we can potentially win the title at home to Dundalk

There's loads to play for apart from the Champions league spot.

Dundalk obviously, especially since they won their first title beat beating us on the final night!

Home to Dundalk would be brilliant, but ideally any home match would be the best option, there's a possibility the title could be won away to Finn Harps which wouldn't be great

Gonna be a huge anticlimax whichever way they win it.

Seeing as the previous two titles involved (a) two three way playoffs required and (b) beating the team ahead of them on the final day of the season, I can't imagine the title clinching game will be quite as memorable.

Not complaining - be great to win it for the first time since becoming supporter-owned

Away to anybody please. A large element of our stadium security are scumbags and i'm sure they'll do their best to spoil the celebrations on the night.

It won't go on aslong as Dundalk at home, not a chance.

I'm kind of hoping for Finn Harps away, i like them as a Club and it be nice to see them get a few extra quid for the coffers that a night like that would bring.

City have signed Robbie Williams
f**king hell! Did Caulfield not see his performance against City? He was absolutely dreadful that night. He did seem better than that the other few times I have seen him, but that night should have put anybody off!!
