Hold on here MF, this phrase is not unique to Dublin but the only proof we have of it being in use anywhere else is Drogheda?

No. I lived in Limerick, Galway and a short stint in Tralee and overheard people use it in all three places. Not unique to Dublin at all. It appears to be a Chinese take-way expression wherever you are located. Maybe Cork is just "special" LOL

I will gladly take being special if it means not eating two forms of carbohydrate covered in a curry sauce with my sugar than spice.

Chips, cheese and gravy is the daddy. Known as 'Poutine' in Canada, it originates from the Isle of Man. Great gear altogether.

Worked in a place before some of the staff would order Chinese grub at the end of a shift. You could smell the demi-glace off No.63 before it arrived. I'd rather eat Enda Kenny's own shíte using chopsticks off a paper plate. So this whole 3-in-1 lark is as bewildering to me. Watch out for a Kerry cat with road markings in a dish near you!

It isn't a 'kebab in a tray', what you are thinking of is meat and chips, kapsalon is a different beast. You need the gouda melting on the chips and the meat and that sauce is top stuff

My local Chinese does a 4 in 1; Chicken, Rice, Curry, Chips and a 5 in 1; Chicken, Pork, Rice, Curry, Chips and if you asked nicely and paid extra they'd probably chuck in some beef to make it a 7 in 1.
