It’s embarrassing and show’s dunphy up for the absolute clown that he is. He led the witch hunt to oust McCarthy from the job last time round because he was writing keanes book.
He even wore Cameroon colors on the RTÉ panel the day of our opening game against Cameroon. Sad thing is the general public lapped it all up and turned on Mick aswell. I wonder how many matches  before Dunphy starts the witch hunt against McCarthy this time????

If he can repeat the good things he did for Ireland in the past then I think we will qualify for the Euros.

- improve the morale
- increase the tempo of our play
- put pressure on the opposition
- mix it up, midfield play as well as longballs
- take risks, we have to create more chances, but that'll make us more vulnerable at the back

Centre midfield is the big problem. If he can get that working, i.e. have players receive the ball from the defence, turn and pass it forward, then there should be a dramatic change in form.

The change that is supposed to happen after the Euros, with Stephen Kenny coming in, is a bit of a smokescreen. If Mick is doing well then there will be no demand for him to be replaced. Possession is nine tenths of the law, after all.

He has a family and a job so he can’t be posting on here all the time.

When he has some spare time he will post his opinions once and leave it at that. He’s not a man who likes to repeat himself.

Qualifiers first off. Will be a summer double header free if we're drawn in a five team group. Qualifiers that week if it's a group of six.

So what’ll probably happen in 2020, Mick qualifies we’ve a good Euros.

The u21s don’t do great, but Kenny does a good job fixing the youth side from u15 up. Mick stays for two years and Stephen Kenny is in the backroom team for the WC qualifiers.

Where did u come up with that? They all made it clear at the press conference today that he has a contract for 2 years and thats it. Hes gone then regardless.

No he doesn't.  He said it himself he doesn't have any option to stay on

If we get a 5 team group (there are 5 groups of 5) with one of the 4 Teams in the nations league finals we’ll have 2 qualifiers in June. I’d imagine we’ll play a friendly end of May due to gap of end of season and qualifier dates.

In March, if we get a 5 team group we might sit out one of the qualifier match days 1 and 2 - so there may be slot for a friendly.

Is it any wonder that the general public developed such apathy for the team with the likes of him pedalling sh*t like that, what an absolute c*nt.

I still don't know what to make of the appointment tbh. If we don't qualify for the Euros (even though it seems that UEFA has made it seemingly impossible not to), then it's a wasted couple of years (and a couple of million) in which time Kenny could have gotten to know his squad and implemented a style of play for our next campaign.

Our style of play will be functional under Mick, I don't think any one should be expecting free flowing football, which most realistic fans won't.

However, it's hard to argue that he'll instil confidence back to the players and, as cliched as it is, instil some pride back in the jersey. I don't necessarily agree with the appointment, but I can see why they've gone with him as a short term solution as, financially, there's a lot riding on us qualifying, especially as hosts.

I dont think anyone believes we are going to start playing like Barcelona come March, but I would expect us to be attacking down the wings possibly with just one up front, for me this will be a massive improvement from being camped in our own half for the last twelve months.
time is the stuff that life is made of, don't waste it.
