Watched 'Life' on Netflix. Alien outbreak on the ISS - good tension throughout. Recommended.

FREE SOLO.
Its a documentry and I dont say this lightly but its amazing. 5/5. If you haven't heard of it, don't bother reading reviews and just watch it blind. That's what I did ... mind blown.

This was on NatGeo there the other night... Great show, think it won an Oscar for best documentary. Meru is another cracker

Meru and Free Solo are brilliant.
It was very interesting in FS where they performed a CAT scan on the climber and found very little response from his amygdala, which would explain why he doesn't process fear like most people would.

Not a movie as such but watched Leaving Neverland. Tough watch. Hard to be unbiased, particularly with the similarities between both stories, and the previous history, but the timing of the documentary does raise eyebrows

The Hole in the Ground - 7/10
Decent effort from first time director/writer Lee Cronin. It's very a much a 'by-the-numbers' horror which was like a homage to The Shining in many respects. The two leads - Seana Kerslake as the struggling single mother and James Quinn Markey as the archetypal creepy kid - were both very good. Overall it was a pretty unoriginal, albeit well put together, film.

Fighting with my Family,
Comedy written and directed by Stephen Merchant. Story about a sister and brother in a family who love wresting. The 2 siblings try out for the WWE and only the sister is picked. Based on a true story and the fact that every bit of detail was in the trailer. 1 or 2 chuckles but not amazing. Didn't want to walk out but wouldn't want to see it again. 5/10

Escape Room - 4/10
Was expecting very little from this and it didn't disappoint. There really is a lack of quality films being released. The fact that The Rock is the highest paid actor, starring in as many sh*t films as he can, says it all about the state of the industry at the moment.
