8/10 Pretty solid film and some scenes that were fairly graphic alright. It was a horrific war and when they say it was a human slaughter house they were not wrong.  Always enjoyed movies from a German point of view, Stalingrad (1993) and Downfall are stand out ones.

Just finished this, absolute masterpiece. The cinematography is unbelievable on an ultrawide screen.
You should have a look at "Come and See", throughly powerful and horrific WW2 film. Might only get it on YouTube.

This wan was chosen by the missus and whilst it was fairly shoite, it's not bad for appeasement of the other half should she need to choose a film. The biggest thing going for this movie is the National "England" as part of the soundtrack. Fcuking tune. 6/10

I see you (netflix) - f**k sake lads, i used to fancy Helen Hunt, but she looks like Rocky Dennis in this with the work she has had done. Thriller with boys going missing, dodgy carry on in the family home. Thought it would be utter scutter but pleasantly surprised. 6.8/10 for what it is.Β

The Guilty (netflix) - Jake Gyllenhaal stars as a demoted cop who is manning a dispatch line. Takes a call from a damsel in distress and story unfolds from there. Few twists along the way in a movie that largely remains in one scene. Decent 6.9/10

I really enjoyed I See You. You're right about Helen Hunt though. Jaysus. The Guilty is decent but the Danish original is better.

Great craic. Really enjoyed this wan.

The Animal

Pretty funny. Rob Schneider is underrated as a comedic actor.

Magnolia

Was pretty tired and not in the mood when someone else stuck this on. It's a Paul Thomas Anderson movie so it's a pretty interesting watch. Bit overly long and pretentious and not sure it all came together in a way to make it all worthwhile. Thought it came apart a wee bit at the end to be honest. Will watch again some day with less bleary eyes.

Someone to Watch Over Me

Formulaic 80s romantic thriller about a married cop played by Tom Berenger assigned to protect a socialite played by Mimi Rogers after she witnesses a murder perpetrated by the one-armed man from The Fugitive. Romance, and danger, ensues. Watchable but there are better genre movies out there.

Get off the fence and give them a star rating

The Last of the Mohicans

Very good. No fat on it either. Unusually for a Michael Mann movie, it's just two hours long. It's on Amazon Prime or Netflix.

Road House 0/10. Not a patch on the original in any way shape or form. Mcgregor is embarrassing and Gyllenhaul who is normally a great actor is terrible  Stupid jokes, ridiculous fight scenes, weird storyline it was actually so bad I turned it off after 70 mins. Terrible!

Dune 2 7/10 spectacular special effects and sound let down a bit by a muddled storyline that seems to get more and more confusing as the film progresses. Villenue films are very long and drawn out, there is definitely more action that the first but its chaotic and hard to follow. An OK from me.

Watched When Arry Met Sally last night on BBC.  Never seen it before Jeff.  Very nice film.  Simple uncomplicated plot not like your pretentious films these days Jeff wiv their clever complicated plots that if you as so much miss one sentence someone speaks you get lost.

Proper proper film.

I'm not too sure what they mean by that as it wasn't a one moment in time kind of fing.  They kept bumping into each other over the years Jeff.
