Cowen to address nation and the world at 8:15pm from outside Government buildings. RTE decide to show Fair City instead while foreign broadcasters televise it live.

I think today is a good day.  Its the day the person with the addiction has walked into the counselling section and said I have a problem.

We wont need to go to the markets for a few years because of it.  It does depend though what structural changes they are going to make to the banks.

Word is it will be an 80 million bailout with a split of 40 for banks and 40 for the economy.

That should see us fully funded for 3 years and we would not have to go to the markets for 3 years which would give us time to get our economy and banks in shape before we go to the markets again.
