My Da ended up on a zoom call with Razor for an hour on Friday for this show as they were looking for someone who was there and has been cocooning since lockdown.

They had a great chat reminscing about it and about 90 and 94 as well. Dunno how much will be used but he really enjoyed the chat. Lads from RTE were filming through the window for social distancing protocols, was a bit bizarre but worked well. Looking forward to the show now.

77 last month. Yeah, he really enjoyed it. I managed to find the proramme of the England game in the attic and The Irish Times from the next day which I'd kept was in with it. Plus he had some photos from the trip so there's some nice memorobilia.

They made him wear a jersey for it mind you and I don't have the 88 or 90 ones anymore so had to dig out the 1992 shirt for him.

Hopefully it won't be geoblocked on Sky Digital for those of us up here in the '6' as the Thursday night classic sports series has been. Unhappy

Watching these games back, it’s amazing we’ve avoided South American teams in World Cups, with 3 group stage draws and knockout games, were definitely overdue

Ronnie and Ray will forever dine out on their exploits in green but seriously, 32 years on and it seems as if its been repeated every year and always shows on about it and a rehash (maybe particular emphasis because of coronavirus this year). Surely, deep down, despite their pride etc. they must be fed up with it being rolled out again and again.

Gone tired now at this stage. RTE didn't show much imagination here.... could have rolled out a few players who we have heard little from such as Morris, Sheedy, Glavin ect......
