Agreed. Drinking tennants from cans or bottles is like drinking a completely different beer.

I did have a couple of pints after the game and tbf they were drinkable unlike the muck that served in northern bars growing up

True. McEwans ale is available in NI, it’s for sale in my local Tesco, but I haven’t seen their lager in years if it still exists.

Good few bars had 4/5 different Carlsberg beers, and the rest were all decent, bar the muck we get here

It was on sale everywhere in Copenhagen, every single bar had it so someone in Denmark must be drinking it.

Carlsberg Export is decent, wouldn't touch the normal stuff over here but found it a lot nicer in Denmark.

Currently drinking Staropramen, a Czech lager and an excellent one from a country that pioneered the genre with Pilsner Urquel. Not that easy to find in NI but I know a few pubs and off-licences where it is sold. Czechs, like Germans, don’t put any crap in their beers, purity standards are impeccable.

I used to go their pub in Inagh a bit when I lived in Ennis years ago. It was a grand pint from what I remember. They had Red Biddy and Blonde Biddy too.

Has any one ever seen Windhoek back home? It's Namibian (I think). Was drinking it in Cape Town this year, one of the nicest lagers I've drank.
