If that’s true, it’s f**king horrible to do that to the player.

It's definitely true. Big power struggle at Swansea between owner and board. Owner okayed it, board refused to release papers. Think once they got Bony off the wage bill they pulled out of deals with Leeds and Fer to villa. Lad was at Elland Road all day, photos in kit, welcome video and LUTV interview done once he passed medical. Can't see him putting it in for Swansea rest of season, deprived him of a shot at promotion to stay at a club headed for bankruptcy.. Edited by Drumcondra 69er - 01 Feb 2019 at 7:32pm |

The EFL found Leeds breached rules over treating teams with "good faith". Leeds have also received a formal reprimand from the EFL, which is bringing in a rule to prohibit clubs from viewing their opposition training in the 72 hours preceding a game unless invited to do so. The EFL said in a statement that Leeds' conduct "fell significantly short of the standards expected" and it "must not be repeated". |

A rule on "good faith" varies with the length of the Chancellor's foot. It's unworkable. The very fact they brought in a specific rule to stop it shows that the EFL are on sketchy ground. The fact they decided against a points deduction demonstrates the same, even though Leeds accepted they had done it plenty of times this season. Any other rule breaking for that length of time would see a points deduction but the league copped out of it here, because they knew their case was sketchy, but they wanted to virtue-signal that Leeds, and led by a crafty foreigner to boot, were up to no good. If Leeds had the cojones to challenge this, they'd have a strong case. Were I running Leeds, I'd almost say we don't accept it, appeal, if necessary taking it to CAS or the civil courts, or even just refuse to pay if Leeds get promoted. The big risk is a points deduction so Leeds kind of have to pay, all because the EFL copped out. I'd be surprised if the EFL hadn't deliberately decided against a points deduction, knowing that the risk of it would dissuade Leeds from any appeal. They didn't break the letter of the rules and the EFL are making up what constitutes "good faith" as they go along. I'm not saying what they did was cool or anything, or that it should or shouldn't be prohibited, but the EFL are not covering themselves in glory here. The whole episode, from start to finish, stinks. The EFL sure as hell haven't shown good faith either, making it up as they go along.

Surprised to see Leeds losing at QPR last night and the other top teams are putting some form together.
Massive game on Friday against the Baggies.

Wouldn't be a Leeds fan if we were confident of automatic promotion. QPR also put us out of te cup. True you would have expected an away win. 12 games to go so plenty of ups n downs ahead

Thin squad starting to show now , January window was a disaster, we signed a keeper that we didnt really need when we should have gone after a striker or attacking player to replace Saiz.
I think everyone will drop points so I wouldn't rule us out , Friday v WBA is a huge game , Also have Bristol City and Sheff United coming up soon so the picture will be a lot clearer by Paddy's day. |

Been on a downward spiral since Spygate, sadly. Would love to see them back up.
