Needs to start in Georgia, I don't even think it's an argument. His club form has been excellent.

He was in better form in the second half of last season and there was less of a clamour for him to start on here back then

What position though? McClean has that left winger slot wrapped up.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

You could play him behind walters but you would have to leave wes out then.

This is the only thing - McClean had been our best player this campaign, maybe stick him on the right. But then who do we drop. Headache for O'Neil, but not a bad headache to have.

Which is a non-starter a Wes is better in that position than McGeady plus McGeady's passing is one of his weaknesses and Wes who gives it away a lot himself has that ability to open teams up.

Passing is one of McGeadys strengths I'd have said, he has a lovely weight of pass.

Neither McGeady or Brady can do those central roles. Their strengths are out wide and cutting inside from those positions.

Would definitely prefer McGeady on the right than Walters if it comes to it.

North East paper on Aido last night:-

7/10

Set up Honeymans's opener with an excellent cross and created a host of problems down Sunderland's left hand side.

I would start him on the left against Georgia, McClean's spot shouldn't be wrapped up, as much as he has been one of our better players this campaign I thought he was really poor against Austria.

I'd start McGeady... He should be full of confidence given his club form and heroics in Tiblisi last time

he has been head and shoulders our best player and should be the first name on the team sheet

He's actually been largely poor, he has however popped up with big goals at vital times. He was absolutely atrocious for the majority of the match in Moldova, really really dire, but then he came up with two goals and that's what people remember. Either way it's a good selection headache to have, means we'll have at least one dangerous option off the bench too.
We're decent enough..
