He seems to be wasting his talent. Needs to buck up quickly. Needs to be playing every week at this stage. He has the ability. Leave and get games if hes not playing for whatever the reason.

Judging from his childish attitude during Ireland games - diving, whining and complaining- looks like he needs a kick up the hole.

Read these rumours yesterday alright. I wonder is there any one close to him who can get him to put his down and just focus on improving his game. He is really risking throwing away a lot of talent.
Geremi has let Kilbane in here, cross comes out to Holland, 1:1!!

I could tell he was a t**ser from the moment I heard that interview with him after his double against Spurs.

At first I thought it would be a good thing to have someone bring a bit of cockiness and arrogance into the national team setup as a lot of our boys are naturally nice lads.

Now I see that his personality is probably going to see him playing League 1 or League 2 by the time he's in his mid-twenties.

Ita more annoying cause he has the ability to be a very decent PL player. But he has gone back instead of progressing since he got his break. Annoying for us but also just seeibg someone who has talent not making the most of it.

At least he's not getting dropped from squads purely because he's sh*te.

Potter strikes me as a nice fella. Maybe too nice. It might benefit Connolly more if he had a harder taskmaster in charge.

Then again, that might make him even more stubborn.

Frustrating stuff. Hopefully the penny drops soon with him but we've been saying that for over a year now.

The best thing would be for him to be packed of to Millwall or Wycombe or somewhere on loan for a season. He has had it too easy up to this point.

Just seeing this on Twitter from yesterday along the lines of “as if we ain’t short enough of strikers we are one more short now for fighting in training” Clearly is him again and clearly some weight behind it unless that lad is mystic Meg.

Utterly infuriating and he a huge opportunity to start for them and stake a claim.

As someone said here it’s important in life to have someone to grab you by the shirt and put you in your place/back down to earth. Connolly clearly doesn’t have that in his life.

Possibly so I have seen people say Potter hasn’t helped him if anything Connolly is haunted Potter likes him which he seems to most managers would have him flogged off long ago and Brighton have done likewise to plenty other attackers/youngsters at his expense.

A Chris Hughton type manager might benefit him or even Mick Mack at Cardiff. You certainly wouldn’t mess Mick around.

He's nowhere near our best player. For a start, you have to actually show up and play, and then he can be judged against his peers.

He was accused of assaulting a girl in a nightclub. Whether it's true or not I don't know. But the comments from the Brighton fans were insinuating that it's no surprise.

New lad just started working with us who played under age with him national team. Let’s just say he’s not very complimentary about him in general.

This is an issue when you are not playing football - the headlines need to focus on something so any personal issues etc. take centre-stage.
The fact he's again not playing football is a shame and if its because of bad behavior then it's shameful.

And under three weeks to the Internationals.

I'd agree with niailer on this, but would caveat it with our best forward player. (Or non defender)

We're not flush with players that are selected at Premier league level.

In short, we need Connolly to grow up and focus on football as soon as possible.

What's hilarious is that he's done absolutely nothing in his career at senior level to justify his cockiness and arrogance.

Far too many players sign a pro contract and equate that to their sh!t not stinking.
