A victim of his own success. You don’t lose talent overnight. Plenty of top level players have gone through spells where the dream almost slipped away. Time to bounce back in 2023.

Chavs are acceptable if they do the business consistently on the field. Look at Phil Foden. But top level football is ruthless and you have to take your opportunities when you get them. Good luck to Connolly but he has a mountain to climb.

Linked with a move to Hull by the BBC - in fact it was a direct quote from the vice chairman of Hull.

He (Ebiowei) will bring us speed, desire and more of a threat on the wing. We would hope to get consistent actions from him. He has the capability, athleticism, knowledge and knows Liam's style of play. He is not going to spend too much time adjusting."

Republic of Ireland international Connolly, meanwhile...

Liam Rosenior is the Hull manager and would have been assistant coach at Brighton 23s during 2018 and 2019. That should help.

Hopefully the relative proximity to his old mates in Middlesbrough is not a factor.

The Oracle says this will be a good move for young Connolly. He will be able to buy outrageous hats and chains in one of the most beautiful parts of England.
It would damage this forums' reputation

I’m guessing the next step is an interview with Connolly where he talks about how he’s now ready to kick on and Hull is the place for him. Irish media please just use the same articles from the summer replacing Venezia with Hull. How do we get this guy out of our news feeds? Let him go and perform on the pitch consistently and then Indo etc you can start reporting on him again.

He's a lost cause by now, head is not screwed on the right way and sadly his time is running out, he has very little to show for all those tattoos and chains.
