OK - couple of categories for everyone to say what they enjoyed about the movie releases of the past year. Basically any movie produced in 2013, even if it has only been released in the last month - anything that is Oscar nominee worthy.

1 - Captain Philips
2 - 12 years a slave
3 - Prisoners
 
they'd be the three films i enjoyed the most seeing in the past 12 months.
 
Going to see The Wolf of Wall Street tonight so that might knock Prisoners out of the top 3 as i've heard its excellent.

I'm not going to see 12-years until this Saturday...

By the sound of the ybiggers, I'm in for a treat...maybe my above 'awards' will change by next week.

Have to say, it's not normally my kinda movie though.

Plot line wasn't great, but the perfomances were amazing. All four of the lead roles were perfect portrayed, I thought.

very few nominations for Captain Philips, is it a case of people havent seen it or ust didnt rate it? I thought it was a brilliant film and had me gripped fro m start to finish, Tom Hanks was brillant in it

It's good, but not as good as Dallas Buyers Club.

Absolute borefest. Tbh, I wouldn't even bother. Went on Sunday night thinking it would ease the torture of a sunday night but it made it about a million times worse. Thought the bloody thing would never end
