If the Gibraltar game actually goes ahead in Gibraltar and fans get only 40% of the tickets, with more going to the football family, it will be interesting to see the reaction from the SCs.....

it most certainly will
yes its hard to believe 30% goes to FD/Sc's So on a 2000 capacity at 5% that 100 tickets to FAI 15 to Abbey 55 to football Family 20 to supporters Clubs* 10 to fans Direct * * based on a 1000/2000 FD/SC Now the FAI are also entiltled to another 200 tickets for players officials etc so could be interesting If only other SC's and the Confederation had given support for the mandate push from 30% to 70% who knows where we might of been ...............

SC and FD grouping is 40% as CRISC got a 5% rise from the initial 35% at start of the last campaign. I'm sure all fans representatives will have meetings with FAI before start of campaign as happened in the past and will push for a rise. There is not a hope of getting to 70%. Hopefully 45 to 50 every little helps.

Says a lot about the FAI when people are making statements like that.

not sure that is right but will try an get clarification
or you implement a universal scheme a 2 year old could understand with simple criteria which everybody can sign up to the basic principle being the more aways games you go to the more 'entitled' to tickets you are

It should be even higher than 70%. I’d say most countries have over 70%.

Eventually we should get to 70% but there is no hope of jumping 30% over night especially with Gibraltar away looming

YBIG Independent Supporters Mandate Group - Statement on increased ticket allocation for away gamesAs all members of the YBIG Independent Supporters Mandate will be aware, we have spent the last year and a half meeting and engaging with the FAI on a number of issues. Chief of these issues has been the below: Firstly, to increase the current Fans Direct / Supporters Clubs allocation from 40% to a more realistic 70%. This is more comparable to other associations, some of whom reward fans with over 90% of ticket allocations. This would leave 15% for the football family and 15% for the FAI's selected travel partner. Secondly, for a universal scheme to be brought in where all members of the scheme are treated equally. The abiding principle would be that the more away games you attend the more entitled you are to away tickets, provided you also hold a season ticket. This would apply to independent fans and Supporters Clubs members alike. As a result of these meetings, in addition to the FAI’s meetings with the Confederation of Republic of Ireland Supporters Clubs, the FAI have informed us that they are increasing the percentage of away tickets available to Fans Direct and Supporters Clubs from the existing 40% to 65%. Although this is below our proposed 70%, we consider it a very positive step forward and welcome the FAI proposal. We believe that this decision is a reflection of the work that ourselves and the Association have undertaken to rebuild a working relationship. On the second point, we have also been told that a more open scheme is being worked on and will be discussed in more detail at our scheduled February meeting. Obviously, we will not be commenting on this until we have had time to examine any new scheme in detail. We look forward to continuing discussions with the FAI and CRISC in this regard. As per our mandate, we will also continue to raise and engage with the FAI on any matters that affect independent supporters. Minutes from our January meeting with the FAI will follow in due course. May we also take this opportunity to wish our members, all Ireland fans and the team, management and staff a very happy and successful 2019. From the fai Instagram “supporters to receive 65% in new away ticketing allocation structure”
Pity 35% is going to non-supporters..... Good to see progress, but still needs to be higher. 65% isn’t a number the fai should be patting themselves on that back for |

Plenty of Abbey travel customers are regulars and barely miss a game - they most certainly are supporters the remaining 20% are 'football family' and again plenty of regulars historically got their tickets that way we all want regular travellers rewarded be they independents sC members or who ever , a universal scheme is the next step so we are all or at least the vast majority are on a level playing field

The split will be based on the split between numbers in Fans Direct and the numbers in SC's. It's close to an even spilt at the moment.

Delighted for all the folk who didn’t back down. Well done 👍🏻. Hopefully now tickets can be distributed in a fair and transparent way.
