This is a little bit retarded though isn't it?
1) It hsan't a f**kin hope of being number one considering Joe McElderry just had 7million people vote for him on a show on Saturday to release this track and 2) Even if it did make number 1 - what's the point - McElderry and Syco will still sell a million copies so no-one loses out. Simon Cowell is hardly gonna lose any sleep over not being Christmas number 1 for the seventh year in a row now is he? I don't get what this campaign is supposed to acheive. Eitehr way - it'll be outsold by at least 4:1 |

Firstly Rage against the machine are going to give (half?) the earnings of the sale to a music for kids charity. Secondly Simon Cowell would defo be pissed off it didn't make it to number 1. He has already called the campaign stupid so obviously has got to him. As Rage said there are other ways to make it in music without standing in front of a panel auditioning. If it made it to number one it would send out a small message. Plus it's funny. But can't see it happening

Me having a No 1 record at Christmas is not going to change my life particularly." Anyway - he's gonna have 10 albums in the top 20 this Christmas and a few singles in the top 10. Not having number one won't matter one iota to him. It also won't change a thing. X-Factor's signed on for another 3 series' at least and it's going to America next year too. I just don't get the campaign at all... Why don't people just buy the music they want? |
