Epic Movie,
Any of those spoof movies of that generation was absolute rubbish. I actually recall feeling a little ashamed of myself while watching it in an empty cinema.

I watched Patch Adams over Christmas. Decided to start googling it midway and got even more annoyed with it. This scathing review summed it up https://cineramble.com/2017/

Strength and Honour, starring Michael Madsen, Vinnie Jones and Richard Chamberlain. It was filmed in Cork around 2006. I'm embarrassed and ashamed to say I was an extra in it.

Michael Madsen should be a good actor. He has the looks, a presence but anything ive seen him in i just dont warm to him or find him watchable. Donnie Brasco is a great film. He shouldn't be in it. Completely wrong for that role he has.

Synecdoche, New York is probably the worst. Not even Philip Seymour Hoffman can save this convoluted, pretentious mess.
The Pact is probably the worst horror movie I've seen. Boring beyond belief and couldn't remember anything about it a week later. Prometheus isn't the worst but probably the most disappointing. Natural Born Killers is objectively very bad but, between the soundtrack and editing, it has enough going for it to make it worth watching at least once. It's interesting and somewhat influential at least. Was looking forward to Mel Gibson's comeback in The Beaver but it was abysmal. Godzilla/Poltergeist remakes were completely forgettable and added nothing of substance to those franchises. Even Bryan Cranston was wasted. |

I remember watching it years ago, and I haven’t watched it again. I can recall a lot of the movie and even some of the lines. But reading the reviews and the link really highlight how disliked the film was, and was even criticised by the subject himself. It seems like they were going for a sort of Forrest Gump effect (which also resulted in 6 Academy Awards), and that the point was totally missed about a very interesting individual. I’m almost compelled to watch it again, but I feel like I’d have some serious confirmation bias now, that I wouldn’t be able to shake in order to watch it with an objective mind.

Thought Three Billboards Over Ebbing, Missouri was an intriguing premise with a pretty terrible execution considering all the hype around it. Contrived doesn't begin to describe Sam Rockwell's character development, and his performance was a... choice.
