Wales won't go to Serbia and win.  When was the last time Wales beat anyone of note without Bale?

I've watched all of Serbia's matches in this campaign and they've got progressively better. Their worst match was the one against us - new coach, a few big players out and a very small, uninterested crowd.  That was the time to get them.  Even at that, they probably would say on the chances that they should have beaten us.

At least as good as Wales in Cardiff.  Better than Austria in Belgrade.  Thoroughly out-classed Georgia in Tblisi (I know the Georgian lad missed a sitter at 1-0, but for the next 60 min it was one-way traffic).

I expect Serbia to polish Wales and us to draw with Austria, making the group much more of a two-horse race, with us behind unfortunately.  Hope I'm wrong and we can get the win which would be so key, especially as some of the lads say above, we'll probably never get a group without an A-list first seed again, so this is a great chance.

Yep, one win without him in six and a half years.  It'll be asking a lot for them to win in Belgrade.

The most likely outcome from the next round of fixtures is that the group becomes a two horse race.

Coleman is a huge loss yeah but i don,t think he would win or lose us the game, we really lacked a killer ball against wales, they parked the bus when they went down to ten men and yes we had pressure on them but never really tested their keeper.
Imo its all about how we set up against Austria but i wouldn't fear them, if we set up like we did in vienna great chance of 3 points, Wes must start!
And once again, Monk's played it to Trojan, who's again switched to the left Bob.

I don't know about that, Bob. But he certainly can use both feet.

What is your currently available 11?
No point in putting up a team with Coleman in it, when he clearly won't be available for the Austria match. It's only 6+ weeks to go now.

This team has something about if for me. Although I would be tempted to play Duffy ahead of Keogh and Walters instead of Long who always offers far more from the bench.
Walters coming back from an offside position but Shane Long was definitely onside- Shane Lonnggggggg.... has done it!!!!

Not sure how much game time Duffy will have had by the Austria game.  Possibly a run-out against Mexico and Uruguay, but I understand Hughton has ruled him out of any more of Brighton's games this season.

Keogh's never put a foot wrong for us.  Am very comfortable with him starting.

Clark started for Newcastle last night, so should have a lot more game-time in his legs come 11 June.

I thought he was abysmal against Wales Panicked a lot on the ball and didn't look comfortable at all for someone of his experience I hope Duffy is back to rejoin Clark.
I'm the gaffer whatever I say goes.

Disagree.  We got a clean sheet, Wales had very few chances and none that were clear cut.  From a back four and general defensive perspective, it was a strong performance.

The best they had was Bale running from inside his own half second half and shooting from an unlikely distance, which just went wide of the post.  That did in fact come from misplaced pass from Keogh, but there was a lot still to do when Wales picked up the ball in their half, and it would be harsh to criticise Keogh overly for that.

Will be happy to see Keogh beside Clark. Would ordinarily be fine with Duffy, especially given his goal threat and how he commandeered lanky Janko last time,  but he won't have any matches for Brighton in the tank at that stage.

I didn't actually know that Duffy had been ruled out of the next three games for Brighton I thought he was making a return. In that case absolutely no problem with Keogh starting, I agree he has been fairly solid when called upon.

That chance Bale had came after a Keogh f**k up if I'm not mistaken, so he got out of jail.
I am still happy enough with him in. He panics a bit on the ball and has a mistake in him because of this. But generally his positional play and blocking ability is good so unless he gets himself in a mess then he's fine

Doesn't seem to say anywhere online but if Ireland finish 2nd and get into the playoffs, do the top 4 placed teams in the playoffs play at home in the second leg or is it decided by seeding? I assume it is the latter.

Think it depends on the draw ie team that comes out of the bowl 1st plays the 1st leg at home, as with the Euro 2016 play-offs.

Not 100% certain that'll be the case again though, I'm only presuming that for now, as the 'European Qualifiers' are again being played under that brand with the same procedures being used ie centralised marketing and fixture scheduling etc. Like yourself, I can't seem to find any reliable info about it online.

Knowing FIFA though, they're bound to stick their nose in and come up with some sort of trick or tweak to the procedures that they'll only announce at the last minute (in the sort of fashion in which they suddenly decided to use seedings for the 2010 WC play-offs when we had been presuming it would be an open draw).  LOL
The nation holds it's breath...YES, WE'RE THERE!!!
