Yeah, I was thinking the same, admittedly. His knowledge is good even if his accent is tough at times (not tough to understand but tough to listen to).

Gus Poyet? He is as impenetrable as Ardiles. But Clarke Carlisle was on countdown so he is clever!
Brian Kerr is quality, he can't help having the worst accent in the wordld!

Now I could be wrong but it could just be something to do with the fact they have won 10 of their last 16 competitive matches and only lost 1.

They had a sh*t group. Not rocket science.

They also manage friendlies very well

We need to learn from the Swiss how to maximise your talent. JTS why the recent friendlies were madness. We won't be seeing a world cup for a long time. Swiss was also first seeds for this world cup.

Shocking to see so many empty seats. Could they not have even given tickets away?

The cheap seats behind the goals are full (more or less). The majority of the empty seats are in the expensive ass sideline seats. They're $175 each, and even at domestic prices they are R$350, which is about $157, or €120. It's the same price we were paying for tickets for the euros and the population is nowhere near as wealthy.

That said, it is in Brasilia and it is a Sunday afternoon, so you'd think there'd be plenty of public servants with disposable income who would be a world cup matches.

Awful decision there. Wasn't touched by the attacker so should never have been called offside.

The Swiss have to play at 4pm in Manaus against Honduras. Not ideal if they are looking for a big win to go through on goal difference.
