i can see that panning out alright but i hope you are wrong as i want to see costa rica get something ( preferably against england LOL) and perversely i also want to see england progress so that they go out on penos and the usual mania gets stoked LOL

haha

I;ve been messing around with a predictor here in work and the only way I can see england getting through is scraping through on goal difference in second place and then knockerd out by the columbians in the next round (hopefully on penos)

Looked weak enough in defence and got opened up easily on one or two occasions. Against italy and uruguay i cant see them not conceding at least one goal

England have serious attacking options.
I still maintain starting glen Johnson who finds it almost impossible to concentrate for 90 minutes could well prove their downfall.
More than any other of the starting 11 he will be the weakest link.

Sturbridge Gerrand and Sterling have been quality this season and I can see Rooney enjoying playing with them. Weak link is obviously defence but it's no worse than Uruguay's. Should be a good group and for once, I actually wouldn't mind seeing England do well.

I do hope you are right. Hopefully we do have a team from the British Isles to roar home.

But like the majority of your football input, your contribution is awful. They shouldnt be backed at 3330/1

british isles?? f**king hell people in this country get worse

Ya franko. Took me awhile...then realised Uruguay no longer had a coastline or access to the river plate

Think England will lose out in a 3 horse, 5 points each race, with Italy and Urgay doing an Ireland/holland in the 3rd match.

Pity, as I think England have their best squad in a long time, with some great flair players, a decent defence and they have Rooney and Gerard in form internationally.

Unlike Hermano, I WILL ring 606  crying if they go out.......

Would be brilliant to see that happen LOL Their defence is probably the weakest its been since the early 90's but they have great options elsewhere.

I think you are right but I would love to see them fail at the group stage. I think Italy will finish 3rd behind England.
