Argies 5/1 not to get out of the group is very good alright.  Love Diego but he's a terrible gaffer, off his rocker.

Spain should go close alright after winning the Euros, not great value though.

Best value for top goalscorer would be Rooney and Klose.

Rooney at 12/1 is a good bet, easy group, so he could have 3-5 goals before the knock out stages. Might stick a large bet on it each way.

is it top 4 on the each way market?

Even though Argentina looked a shambles in qualifying I think they might be worth a bet.

Messi, Higuain, Tevez, Aguero, Di Maria, D.Milito and Lissandro to choose from in attack.Shocked

Ever Banega is having a stormer for Valencia this season.

Mascherano and Cambiasso in the center of the park.

Walter Samuel showed he was good enough over the two legs against Chelsea.

Garay of Real and Zanetti as well in defence.

Possible line up

------------------------Romero------------------------

-----Zanetti------Milito---Samuel------Heinze-----

-----Messi----Cambiasso---Mascherano---Di Maria----

-------------------Higuain---------Tevez------------

Subs
Aguero
Banega
Garay
Lucho Gonzalez
Insua
Maxi
Milito
Guitierrez
Lavezzi
Perotti
Zarate
Aimar
Veron

Pack of lunatics them bargies.

Spain or Brazil, best value on Holland 14/1 though. Like Spain in the euros they will get it right one day. Its only 7 games after all.

They may have some array of talent, but Maradona the manager, is rubbish.

I watched quite a few of their qualifying games and they were often wretched. Unless, he's had a complete metamorphis since qualifying, I wouldn't be all surprised to see them fail to get out of their group.

Regarding Argentina, they have great attackers and good midfield but Heinze is past it and Zanetti for all his brilliance is about 106. QFs would be good for them. They could be possible favs though in 2014.

England will do the usual. . . .

Come up against a decent passing side who take the lead and try by all measures to break up the game . England lose their heads and are on the next plane home. Can see the Dutch and Argentina doin something similar.

Brazil will go close. . . .

They are always there or thereabouts. Thought they could just show up in Germany and its theirs but its a different side this time. Never mind their forward players look at their defenders. Alex is not the best but he has some presence about him and can score goals. Dani Alves is the new Cafu. Maicon is solid as a rock and Lucio is an animal end of story. Will be a tougher propostion this year altogether.

Spain . . . .

Have their biggest ever chance to win it. The monkey about not showing up at the big tournaments is off their backs and they will firmly believe they can win it which is very important. Great passing side who you cannot get near at the best of times. Their one negative is that they maybe lack leaders. For all their beautiful football in the Euros they werent really tested . How they react to getting into a scrap of a game will determine whether they win it or not because sometimes slick passing goes out the window in games like this and this could upset them . . .

Villa- Valencia captain
Fabregas- Arsenal captain
Xavi- Barcelonavice captain
Senna(if he plays) - Villareal captain
Torres- former Athletico captain

They are captains of some of europe's biggest sides. They should be leaders.

They might lack physical strength but that's about it.

I see your point but I would only class Casillas and Puyol as true leaders out of that bunch. .

Senna/Fabregas and Xavi lead by example and are great players but none of them will grab the game by the scruff if its not going their way. Look at the Chelsea/Inter game on tuesday. There are sides that will come out and succeed at shutting the game down. I just cant see where the drive will come from Spain to muscle the game back when their passing game is being stopped. . .
