and Korea are 500/1 to win for a reason, they got pushed all the way by a Syrian side who don't have a football pitch to play on in their own country, that's how woeful Korea were in qualifying.

I doubt Germany have ever lost 5 games in a row, ever!!

This is Germany, they expect to win every game.

Leroy Sane left out of German squad. Doesn't fit the system according to those in the know.

It would want to be some squad to be leaving a player like him out. I have a feeling that if he was playing in Germany he'd have been picked.

Cannot believe Sane has been left out. Top quality player. I’ve a feeling they’ll end up regretting it.

He was by far their best player against England. Massive mistake I feel.

it's a shock alright. Brandt is a very good player too who can play all across the middle attacking 3  which may have swayed the decision in his favour

its seems like a huge player to leave out but they wont regret it as they have such quality. Must be some disappointment for him to be left out tho, when you think of the player he is.

I can understand not making the starting line up as you don’t fit the system.... but if you are losing and the current system is obviously not working doesn’t it make sense to bring on a brilliant attacking midfielder who scores goals.....

Is he the best player to be left out of the World Cup?

It just shows the ridiculous disparity between international sides that a player of that calibre can be deemed surplus to requirements for one team, whilst we squeeze the life out of players like McGeady until well past their sell-by date.
Germany's third choice keeper is Barca's first choice. They are just at an entirely different level.

Ter Stegen would be 2nd choice for Germany

Oh is he? Fair enough. I was just going off their squad announcement which gave him squad #23 and Trapp #12.

Absolutely. I still think the achievement by MON to mastermind a vital win against them in a qualifier with a very ordinary Irish team is underrated by a lot of our fans. May be some time in the doldrums before that win is truly appreciated.

Sane being left out for personality reasons, Loew doesn't like he has a big ego apparently. Havent heard anything negative about Sane before so found that surprising. Kilbane talking about it on OTB am this morning.

First I've heard personal reasons being mentioned. It may be true, or on the other hand you could ask how the hell would Kilbane know.

Lost to Austria and Brazil. Drew with France, England and Spain.

Tough opponents but not ideal prep for one of the favs.
They are playing their usual whipping boys next week before the tournament starts. Expect Saudia Arabia to get trashed by a few goals next week.

Germany get their first win of 2018 but it was only 2-1 v Saudia Arabia.
Things not going well de germans. Still, never write them off.

Germans not happy campers at the moment (they were the same before 2006)
Fans booed Gündogan last night (for photo op with Özil and his comments with Turkish Presdient in London)
Löw has to resolve the keeper issue.
