Actually, 'literally', drives me mad. Girl in work uses it literally all the time.

"I was so hungover on Sunday, I thought I was literally going to die."

To be fair that's not.a.bad use of that word as I have had those hangovers

Actually is used way too often and inappropriately too.
Though just confirm, your usage was appropriateThumbs Up

No but the key word is thought and many people have had panic attacks where they thought they were going to die and hangovers are a huge cause to panic attacks.  So in this case literally is actually an accurate word to use as I would say she thought she was literally going to die If the hangover was bad enough.

"It is what it is".

Oh really, is it now?

There's me thinking it was something completely f**king different but many thanks for putting me right.

There used to be a thread of words or phrases that people get wrong, that's what I thought I posting in.

I'm indifferent to Skunk and Nancy. That's what I thought they were called.
Talking about the singer I asked if that was skunk or Nancy.

I think it is from Ghanaian folklore,  which the lead singer has an interest in. She goes by the moniker of Skin. As I said, some voice on her.

I think I posted this up on here before, but the amount of Northern people who write "off" instead of "of" is criminal.

A fair few Nordies that post on here do it regularly.

In regard to sportsmen you have Shane Duffy, Paddy Barnes, Paddy McCourt, James McClean etc at it the whole time on Twitter.

Granted they wouldn't be the sharpest tools in the box but point still stands LOL

That 3 advert with that island off Donegal annoys me witht heir bullsh*t management speak

''connectivity''  and  ''layering solutions''

Like David Brent it is

Do you notice everything in business is a 'solution'?

'Elwood Office Solutions' and they are just selling stationery
