The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) invites expressions of interest from clubs/entities who may be interested in participating in a ?Pilot Women's National League'.The successful applicants would compete in a pilot 8-team Women's National League - start date to be advised. The future format, size, structure and operation of the Women's National League will be finalised following experience from the initial season.Any club/entity joining the Women's National League would be required to enter into a Participation Agreement with the FAI, which sets out the terms and conditions under which each participant club/entity in the Women's National League will particiapate.

So you begrudge ladies a least a trial run at playing in a national league It's been on the cards for a while so I'm very intrigued to see how the trial run goes! The ladies games has made massive advancements here in the last few years. Would love the chance to play in national league so it's definitely worth having a trial run |

maybe the ladies would start watching the mens games aswell, and bring their bfs and eventually kids along aswell. clever little idea to raise attendances.
