Well said, Delaney, has treated long term fans dreadfully..  Quinn or Moran would be great, but it will never happen.

Whats your issue with the thread.

Why don't you start an "if your aunt had wheels" thread as well.

So you don't think its a valid question to ask on a forum for fans of the Irish Football team.  Surely the people who may have an opinion on this are the fans of the team. Just because its not very likely in the next few months etc does not mean, people would not have the names of alternatives out there that would do a good job should Delaney step down in the forseeable future.

No I do not think it is a valid question for the ROI section.  Fine if someone wants to start a trivia or mystic meg section or if your granny had balls section.  There is no vacancy and there is not likely to be one in the foreseeable future.
Football is all very well a good game for rough girls, but
not for delicate boys.

It's a valid point but how many regular away travellers have a season ticket/bb. Prob over 95%

Despite his GAA back ground Sean Kelly had the foresight to lead the way in opening up Croke park, making the GAA plenty of money in the process.

To be fair you wont have a name for that money. I think you can get someone to do the job properly for less than 250k but they probably wouldnt be a public figure.

Not sure a background in football or sport for that matter would be necessary. Someone from a leading PLC with a strong customer service background would be ideal. Failing that, Paulo Di Canio

Ian Drury, ex school teacher, centre forward for UCD, head of plainum one would be very well qualified, but would he want it??

Niall Quinn, wouldnt lastvery long as he's not ruthless enough to excercise control over all the various factions that make up the FAI.

FOA Jimmy G, surely if you are anti delaney as a lot of your posts suggest you are, you should be able to suggest an adequate replacement??
I know nothing :-)

Me

I'm a chartered accountant with a number of yrs experience, Delaney's seems to think that entitles him to a salary in excess of 400k.

Oh wait, my dad wasn't a senior figure in the fai, I don't have any contacts in the fai but surely that doesn't matter.
