Topic: Who will win Champions league Posted: 07 Mar 2008 at 8:43am |
Man united 3/1
Barcelona 3/1
Chelsea 5/1
Arsenal 5/1
Liverpool 8/1
Roma 10/1
Schalke 22/1
Inter Milan 22/1
Fenerbache 25/1
I reckon Chelsea they have the squad are finally injury free and with a bit of luck which has just eluded them the past three seasons
Man U: are very poor away from home but if they play English teams they will have a good chance.
Barcelona: dodgy defence and Messi is injured
Arsenal: great chance
Liverpool-Rafa's record against English teams is brutal and Chelsea are due a win if they faced Liverpool again.
Roma: Have improved on last season
Schalke: every 4-5 years a dark horse makes the final so I reckon Schalke as a losing finalist is worth a punt.
Chelsea v Schalke (Chelsea winners)

Chelsea would be my choice on form and squad even though I hope they don't win it. I'd like Arsenal to win cos they play great football.
Reasons for: Arsenal, great to watch.
Reasons against: Man U: The thought of Rio raising that cup doesn't bear thinking about.
Barca: As stated, no Messi and poor defence
Liverpool: Just not good enough despite Torres
Roma: The thought of Totti raising that cup doesn't bear thinking about either.
Chelsea: The thought of Terry/Lampard/Cole raising that cup makes me wanna vomit
Inter: Not good enough (see Liverpool)
Schalke: Don't know much about them, hard to see them winning it
Fenerbache: I dislike Turkish football fans cos of what they've done to Irish fans over the years.
GWAN ARSENAL.

I'd agree on both counts with you Stiofain although I am slightly biased when it comes to the first one. I'd would absolutely f**king hate it if them Chelski c**ts won it.

Not to worry FW, If things go well for him it will be Neville lifting that cup and if not It'll be more than likely be Giggs providing he's not injured/suspended.

Have stated before that rafa is not too bad tactically in CL and carries a good bit of luck as well in it.. not much for them to fear to me..going for liverpool to take it....

Probably will and all knowing that lucky c**t which will probably mean him staying on at Anfield for another year. Although on second thougts that wouldn't be so bad as it'll keep the scousers out of the chase for the league for another season

FFS, United always get favourable draws. Obviously theres no easy easy games at this stage but surely they'll be happy with playing Roma after they battered them last year.
Liverpool or Ar5ena1 will play the winners of the Chelsea game so if Chelsea win, a premiership team will definitely be in the final.

Happy enough with United's draw. I can see Arsenal just edging it over the two legs though IMO.
