We gave up about halfway through S4. It’s so slow.
S3 was also a struggle I felt.

Think it jumped the shark after S2

Are you an insomniac? You get through some amount of shows, I do well to watch 1 or 2 series in a year

We don't really watch Movies or live TV (unless sport) so in the evenings there are normally a couple of hours to kill with when the kids are settled so I would actively seek out good tv shows to binge on.

I’ve started on We Own This City.

Only one episode is available so far. But it’s from David Simon, who made The Wire.

It’s about corrupt police in Baltimore, has a lot of Wire regular actors, and also has Rick’s mate in the early Walking Dead as the central actor.

I’m looking for my next box set. Cheers for the heads up. This sounds like it could be up my street.

On a similar subject, check out this true crime podcast which seems to be dealing with the same subject matter

Drop out.

The rise and fall of the billionaire Elizabeth Holmes. It's watchable but it's dragged out way too much. 8 episodes could have been done in 5.

The book its based on is really good so really looking forward to this.  There is also a Netflix documentary about one of the cops as well.

Watched Super Pumped, about the rise of UBER and their less than pleasant CEO.  Decent enough, well-acted and quirky directing style.

Unsurprisingly everyone in Silicon Valley is basically a money obsessed a***hole.   By the lads who did Billions so obviously a bit over glamourising rich people, but still worth a watch.

Cheers for heads up on this. Love David Simon stuff, will be all over this.

Said it on here before I think but if anyone hasn't watched his show Treme set in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina I'd highly recommend it.

Finished Ozark there. I thought the ending was good but a lot of people won't enjoy it.

Glad they wrapped it up in 4 seasons and didnt drag it out. Good series overall.

I finished Severance earlier. The main concept behind it is very interesting. Excellent viewing overall.

Anyone into European murder shows like Nordic noir genre? With a VPN ye can access dozens of great shows on iPlayer, itv player and 4OD.  Have watched the vast majority at this stage, can say they are usually brilliant.

You don't need a VPN for All4, some quality European boxsets on there though.

I'm a big fan of German shows after watching 'Dark' on Netflix couple years ago and recently watched a mini series called 'Dark Woods' on All4 about a retired cop thats still trying to solve a cold case from 20+ years. Really enjoyed it.

Also the Deutschland '83, '86 & '89 series was brilliant.

Think Deutschland 89 was a series too far. Like some of the polish stuff on Netflix.. really liked the first series of The Mire.

I thought the Deutschland series were excellent. The 3 seasons of the bridge are on the iPlayer...one of the best shows made.

Just started watching Nordic murders. Set on a German island on the German / Polish border. The thing about these shows is you get to see these countries from a different perspective, how people think and interact with their fellow european neighbours.
