Mott the Hoople - All the young dudes

Only found out about a year ago that it was written by Bowie and given to them as a last chance saloon career launcher.

They wrote Summertime for Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith which basically secured their financial futures.

They have four on Spotify anyway, can’t say I have listened to the later two. Perhaps I will give them a go over the weekend.

I was going to throw up a 'Desert Island Discs' thread. I can never agree with myself though, so gave up on the idea!

While cooking I threw on a Trojan compilation. "54-46 Was My Number" came on from the Maytals . Sure it should be Toots & The Maytals as he wrote it- What a massive tune.
Had to hit repeat a few times
Brings me way back in time

Yeah, it's about the time  Toots  got done for possession of marijuana. An unbelievable song. Trojan produced some outstanding music.

Interesting fact, that I am sure you might know, as a fan of Trojan, but he was the name to give us the word reggae, his song 'Do the Reggay' spawning the genre.
