I’m sorry I didn’t get tickets to see them as the new album is surprisingly good.
Aye was a quality gig. Played 33 songs, although they played 39 in Belfast the night before. The new album is definitely a grower. Catfish Kate and On Graveyard Hill are catchy

I like the whole album. I lost interest after Kim, I felt she held everything together!

Anyway, if ET is still here... Pauper’s Dough- King Creosote.

That sort of film isn’t my thing, but lads in work were raving about it. I always think you have to, in these situations at least, disassociate the art from the artist.

Not sure why its not your thing but it's not at all "comic book".

Dark but great movie. Id say, Phoenix is a f**king disaster to be around when shooting movies. In the Day Lewis leagues.

I think it is just me being narrow minded, if I’m honest.

I think that's a genuinely important moral and philosophical dilemma, and one worthy of debate: can one really (and should one) separate the artist from their work? I've always been a fan of the movie Rosemary's Baby, yet since learning of Polanski's past, and despite being cinemaphile, I've never been able to bring myself to watch the classics Chinatown and Repulsion. I like the Who; Daltrey remains one rock's great frontmen. Moon one of the all-time great drummers. But it 's hard to listen to them after the Townshend revelations.

What of Liam Neeson? His admissions of murderous feelings towards black people after a friend was raped are beyond the pale. Ought I to now feel guilty about watching one of his films?

Lewis Carroll and Arthur C. Clarke supposedly had paedophilic tendancies, and they influenced an inordinate number of people - it goes on...
