I reckon that could be the wrong job for Hughton, the owners like the press too much and will be putting him under too much pressure.

Have I missed something or forgotten something, but what was the significance of the banner "Avram Grant, Millwall Legend"?  I'm totally stumped on it.

We'll never die, we'll never die, we'll keep the Green Flag flying high......Shamrock Rovers will never die, we'll keep the Green Flag Flying high. 19 Leagues and 25 Cups.....

Millwall fans paid for it to take the piss out of them getting relegated. I'd say the Met Police were the people most upset about West Ham getting relegated yesterday. The league games between them two will be fun next season!

Bit harsh Erimus, they have a decent history as a club, always had a good youth set up too.

I've been to a good few West Ham games over the years, drinking around the ground before and after games. Their fans are very down to earth, friendly, decent people. Obviously like every support base, they have a bad element but that is in the minority.

The owners statement I'd agree with alright.

Perfect job for the likes of Chris Hughton next season. Knows what it takes to get a big club back up, both back to the Premier League and also off their knees.

A Londoner with bad English!!I won't have it!! Six monhs and I can't understand a word!!

They really are a horrible with  football club with the most horrible, racist  fans and most horrible owners. Look at the Rooney swearing incident, the media were all over Rooney which nicely covered up how two West Ham players families were being racially abused for ninety minutes. To make the matter worse David Sullivan came out afterwards and said; "I know how they feel, I have been a victim of heightism all my life". The reason they get away with so much is because of the English media's love affair with the club who, no laughing down the back, won the world cup.
The classless way they dealt with Grant was no surprise, but is it really his fault. In fairness he isn't Mr Motivator but who exactly could you motivate? Most of that squad is overhyped and of championship standard. Again largely to do with the national team they are eligible for. Green, Cole, Upson, Dyer are all vastly overrated and has been discussed elsewhere Tomkins is no more a premier league player than I am.
Anywa justice for the real club of London's East End hopefully we pass them on their return from grace. They have hd more falls thn  a three legged horse. Best of luck filling Stratford.

Clonbhoy, one of the players came out and said their family weren't even at the game, but don't let that get in the way of a good rant!
Speaking to reporters, Obinna said: ??othing happened - I do not have any of my family members in England.

"There is no point asking me to confirm or verify an incident that never happened - I was in total shock when I heard and read about it in the papers.

"I didn't have any of my relatives at the game and I do not know anyone who complained of any racial incident at the game."

And as for David Sullivan's comments, when you read the full quotes given after the game before Obinna was asked about it, it doesn't look like he's making light of the situation either. He is a horrible person admittingly.

David Sullivan, the West Ham co-owner, said: ??f these allegations are found to be true, then it appals me. I believe all human beings are equal. We are all born with different physical attributes.
?? happen to be small and I??e been the subject to many years of ??eightism??so I know how people feel when they are subject to this sort of abuse.
??e will be monitoring CCTV, interviewing stewards and taking strong action against offenders if these allegations are proven to be correct. It is particularly sad that the families of our players were so treated.??

Can I ask how many West Ham games have you been to or can you give me examples of the horrible racist fans you talk about?

Been there twice this season with a friend who supports them. I wouldn't go back. And there are plenty examples of what I would call pro-BNP sentiment around the stadium. Particularly in pubs like the Prince of Wales. Being Irish I would recommend not looking at an early kick off involving Celtic or Rangers in there.'tis a bit prehistoric to here 'no Surrender' ata game against Liverpool! Or to have 'Kraut' tourists subjected to two world wars one world cup. They were Austrian anyway but I could only imagine the response in pointing this out!
The report you referred too; it is since been established that Obinna's family was  not there true, but is well known in grounds around London that part of the reason Demba Ba wants away so badly was that days antics. Perhaps it is Orient/Millwall/Spurs fans wanting a pop off the Bingo club, but I have heard it more than once.

According to F365 Grant was sacked in the tunnel minutes after the game and allowed/chose to do media interviews afterwards.

Horrible owners and I feel for Grant and the new manager as that position has been/will always be undermined by the porn kings.

I've been in pubs in Westmeath where I've heard more racist comments than I've ever heard at games/pubs in the UK to be honest.

When I'm out there I drink in the Duke of Edinburgh and it's a good laugh. Always end up laughing with whoever we end up talking to about how sh*t Gary Breen was for them and how he's a bit of a legend with Irish fans.

I haven't heard that about Ba to be honest, and I know a few Spurs season ticket holders. But as you say, it could be the opposition fans wanting a pop at West Ham.

Just think people tend to jump to conclusions about an entire club simply cos of the actions of a minority of stupid fookers who think they are supporters.

Like I say I have friends who are West Ham Fans. I just think in general their club is every bit as bad as Millwall and certainly more BNP on the fans side but are adored by large sections of the media. Outside of that as an Orient fan what they are doing as a club is an absolute disgrace in my eyes. Those two pricks shouldn't be left near football, but then again neither should dodgy sheikhs or Yanks either. There aren't many EPL clubs left who can take the moral high ground when it comes to owners. Stoke, Wigan, Everton, Wolves. Is there anymore?

Sure with a bit of luck either way, you might be playing them in either the championship or League one in 2014 for the new stadium!

Out of curiousity, long term, whats the general opinion of Orient fans on what will happen to their club with West Ham on their doorstep?

Orient have averaged 4,000 fans all season. Attendances only swell for big away supports like  Southampton, Wednesday etc. Orient's biggest problem anyway is attracting new fans. The demographic at the game is middle aged natives who have moved out to pastures new. Everyone is aware that the east end is now a cultural melting pot but getting immigrant kids etc. interested in the local club is much harder now there are two clubs on each others doorstep. Hopefully if West Ham continue to be as abysmal on the field the effect on the O's won't be as bad as first feared!! A premier team on the doorstep would almost rule out a whole generation of fans.

Didn't waste any time sacking him did they ? 10 minutes after the game FFS. Could least have waited until tomorrow morning. Although he was largely responsible for their plight he deserved a little bit more than being sacked straight after the game. These people have no class at all.

+ 1

A horrible bunch of scummer f*ckers the three of them - they have done untold damage to West Ham and will continue to do so until they leave. The way they have acted since taking over the Hammers is incredible - it's like any experience gained from their involvement with Birmingham just evaporated over night.

Feel very sorry for the West Ham faithful - a good football club who've always tried to play decent ball - but I've zero sympathy for the owners.
