Gianluca Scamacca he is a 35million striker? Is he not a flop....I know it's too early to be writing any player off but...

It would damage this forums' reputation

God no, the lad looks magic. Wouldn't swap him for Darwin at this stage. Involved in the link up play, and scoring some cracking goals. Begging to build a great combination with Paqueta. Only question at the moment is how long WH can keep him.

Yes WHU have done well but there a hell of a difference between the European Conference league and the CL.

Yeah feels similar to last season in Euroa League, all the group stage games are a cake walk. Most European Leagues have a biggere dropoff after the first 2/3 teams. By the time you get to Europa and Conference League level, it's understandable that English teams should be stronger.

Glad this year anwyay Moyes seems to be laying the reserves in Europe. Played the first team for a lot of last seaon's group stage and it cost them.

If West Ham can beat FCSB 3-0 away, there’s no excuse for Celtic not to beat Real Madrid also.

What happened them a few months ago when they failed to make a Europa league final that a Scottish team got through to

Tony probably has a few theories. But that’s then and this is now, and both clubs looked entirely out of their depth. And, Celtic are seeming to make a habit of looking out of their depth in any European competition.

Do the WHU fans on here feel that Moyes deserves the sack?

Nah, he's completely turned the club around, we were battling the last day for relegation about 3 years ago, the following season challenging for top 4, last season Europa League SF. Brought in a lot of players this offseason that all look upgrades in quality and/or age, it'll take a while to bed in.

With the quality in the league now too, top 7 is gonna be hard for any of the non-billionaire clubs. 15 years ago we had a defined top 4 (United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool) for about 7/8 years, then City arrived, Spurs got their stuff together to make a top 6, and you needed 3 of them to have an offseason to break into the CL places. Now Newcastle are added to the mix you need 4 of them to have an offseason.

Best of the rest is WH's aim, which is 8th now unfortunately. They'll be close to that end of season. I don't think sacking Moyes and getting a Lopategui/Emry would change that
