Moyes is looking to sign Adnan Januzaj I don't know why he was shocking and injury prone when he had him at Sunderland,

Moyes has generally been on the button when it comes to signing players at West Ham. He has not padded out the squad for the sake of it and has been given autonomy over transfer policy.
Historically, somebody like Januzai would make little sense, but Moyes is always on the look out for somebody in that position, he knows him from previous work, and he has been busy in La Liga. That being said, this is one I don’t expect to see happen.

When Moyes was at Sunderland there were a lot of rumours that a lot of his signings were his brothers (an agent) clients. Not sure how true that was? |

Sunderland was strange with Moyes. He sort of departed from his usual practice of signing small numbers of players, often ostensibly unlikely ones (he has done the same with a Craig Dawson at WH). A common misconception about Moyes’ time at Sunderland was he wasn’t given money to spend. In fact he brought in a number of players and loans too in 2016. And spent more in the January 2017 window.
He went back to basics at WH and it is paying dividends.

West Ham have a tight squad so young players often fill the gap on benches. Even last year when there was an injury crisis in defence, he wasn’t in the team. Sonny Perkins’ departure two weeks ago raised more eyebrows.

The best defender from the academy. I'm shocked we've sold him but he's clearly left to play football! - Leader, u23 captain - Pace - Left footed - Ball playing CB - Drives forward - Solid - Threat from corners - All around top person Good luck to the lad! Sad to see him go

Each to their own, DM. But in reality, playing U23 is no true barometer. Also, WH fans have an ability to hype young players and in some cases see it as vital for the fabric of the club to integrate them into the first team, and at an extreme, regardless of consequence to results.

He looked the part in his brief appearance as sub today but it's very much early days in his Sunderland career.

Not necessarily ‘big name’, but there is a long history of flops, especially after 2010. Some have been past their prime, some have just not suited the systems, and others have been gambles that haven’t paid off.
