Not just a good carpenter, a great carpenter. Up there with the best. The same kind of skill set as Jesus Christ. |

Jesus' cross was better than Wes's one in Germany.

The cross was put into the danger area and we scored from it, what more do you want? If Whelan had got the ball in that situation he’d have passed it back to Forde. If McGeady got it he’d have run it in to touch or hit the 1st man. Yes the competition hasnt been great but that doesnt take away from the fact he’s been our player of the decade. We’ll look back in years to come on his performances against Germany at home and Sweden at the euros, his cross for Brady against Italy. Any big result we got, he was the catalyst behind it |

You'd think he'd have copped that from me mentioning McGeady in my reply a few days ago.

Definitely one of the former senior internationals who you could see coming back for a couple of years in the LoI.

Hard to see him coming back to any other Irish club than Shels, and considering he came fairly late to the English game, I'd say he'll want to get another year or two of decent wages, which the Irish first division obviously can't offer.

This is all purely hypothetical obviously but I'm not sure what sort of connection he would have with Shels these days. Very few of the key people who were running the show in his era are still there I would imagine.

Between Livingston, Blackpool and Norwich the man has had enough of British founded clubs I'd say let's not be harsh on him bud. Back to where it all started for Wessi
