Gerry Taggart on commentary not saying how he missed a sitter.  If that was Ronnie Whelan he'd be moaning ''he'd got to do betta than that!''

They're playing  well. Fancy them to get something. Italy been poor

In general.  Like they dont have any Dunphy or Brady types constantly criticising.  Their commentators are very positive as well.  No Houghton or Whelan negativity.

They judge their team on a different basis to us. They expect constant failure, so poor results are just accepted and any success is lauded. With that attitude you can never lose I suppose.

They love misery. The idea of stopping another team from qualifying turns them all on.

Fair play to them, a magnificent result.

Euro 2016: Both qualified, both knocked out in R16
World Cup 2018: Both second in group, both beaten in playoffs
Euro 2020: Both third in group, both beaten in playoffs
World cup 2022: Both third in group

Their best period in 30 years has coincided with our worst.

Watching the highlights, NI should really have won it - two great chances to score at the end.

He wasn't watching us play. He was too busy getting ready to watch Norn Iron fail. He is like Tonyjah, loves the misery

It would damage this forums' reputation

You could argue that most of the negativity of the casual fan/general public has stemmed from the negativity pushed by Dunphy, Brady and Giles to a lesser extent. The more negativity they pushed, the more their popularity soared. Even if the negativity was/is over-exaggerated at times.
