Are you sail railing (i.e. going as a foot passenger) or are you driving? There's a 7:15 bus from Westmoreland Street operated by Morton's. €3.

I'm getting the 14:30 ferry.

Got you - a tough situation as you're cutting it fine. Your only option if you can go is maybe to head to the airport, you can buy a seat there but likely to cost 200+, name changes have to be done 4 hours prior to departure i believe.

It might be worth just booking it now, depending on how likely it is you will be able to go.

2 lads pulled out of our trip after booking the Rail and sail. Leaves Dublin 8:45 Monday, then the train to Cardiff gets in at 5pm. We've 2 available if anyone wants to make an offer. Can meet at the ferry port.

We also have either a double or a triple in the Travelodge Cardiff central 3 min from train station and mary street for £40/50 going spare.

We'd sell the 2 rail and sail returns and hotel for €200 or any reasonable offer if anyone fancies going last minute
