Don't be reading much into it, the Daily Mail have to sell papers.
They're professional footballers representing their country, I'm sure Martin O'Neill, Roy Keane, Guppy and Walford said far worse then that at HT and post match. |

Daily Mail talking rubbish as usual!! Is Kilbane a part of the camp? No. So what are they basing this on? I read an article from one of the players who said Keane said the exact same thing to them before he said it to the media and that they agreed they Wernt good enough on the night.
Nothing to see or worry about here |

Maybe a couple are a bit miffed that Keane had a go at them but according to McClean, he says all this stuff to their face. In any event, we're talking about two or three fringe players who won't even be starting the games....tough luck if they're a bit put out by his remarks.

Couple of things.
Any pictures of training, golf, hurling, cycling, volleyball, that were taken at fota island during the week would suggest that spirits are high in the camp they all had genuine smiles on their faces. Anything that Keane said was true There not kids, im sure they will get over it.

Nothing story. Had he said that Gibson is a bit overweight and should look for a transfer to progress his career then it would be a massive story.

To be fair it may be the daily mail but philip quinn is a good journalist who has been covering the Ireland camp for years and would have good sources. I doubt it is a major thing but I have no doubt that a few of the players would have felt Keane was out of order. Which he was to say what he said about McGeady.
if the shoe was on the other foot and anybody dared criticised Roy to that extent, he would be fuming. Edited by Baldrick - 04 Jun 2016 at 4:40pm |

Roy is harmless. He was joking. Is this really the face of a man intent on insulting and upsetting people?

Killer seems to think Keane is bang out of order. Surely the management team should be protecting their players in the media as opposed to hanging them out to dry? Keane's words maybe true, but those words should have came from O'Neill and should have been said behind closed doors. |

Some journalists and pundits are claiming that Keane's words were carefully crafted with MoN to put pressure on the so-called 'fringe' players
