there's alot of it around!

With three all-Ireland Cup Competitions. Harding Cup (Freshers), Crowley Cup (Second years), Collingwood Cup (Final year students) run by Irish Universities Football Association (IUFA)

The Colleges Football Association of Ireland (CFAI) selects the National representative side at Third level. http://www.thirdlevelfootball.ie/cfai/about/ Along with the IUFA runs the Colleges and Universities Football League (CUFL), the winter season-long leagues for Colleges. Culminating in knock-out rounds to determine placings.

Womens Colleges Soccer Association of Ireland run leagues including Futsal.
(As far as I'm aware that the structure of Third Level Football in Ireland)

Often wondered about this level of football. I know the Sigerson is huge in GAA and is featured in the papers almost every day. With every all Ireland winning team having at least a couple of Sigerson players. Their is little or no coverage of third level soccer.

Ger O'Brien managed NUI Maynooth take on Jumbo Brennan managed NUI Galway in the eircom Centenary Collingwood Cup Final, Fri 28th Feb, UCD Bowl, k.o 17:00 (5pm).
Live on Setanta.

Maynooth knocked out UCD and UCC and will be favourites against NUI Galway who took care of Univ. Limerick and DCU.

Collingwood Cup Final UCD v Univ. Limerick, The Mardyke today 16:00

UCD beat Maynooth with a Darragh Black goal, UL scored late in normal time and extra-time against Trinify. Ayman Ben Mohamed gave Trinners a first half lead, UL's Gabhan Coughlan was subed with an ankle injury and Ben Mohamed was sent off later. UL took their opportunity.

The freshers Harding Cup took place over the weekend.  With DCU beating UCC 1-0 aet at College Park.  Jack O'Connor (Cherry Orchard) with the goal and leading scorer of the tournament.

O'Callaghan gives UCC the lead with a peno.  Georgie Kelly equalises.
Daniel Pender scores in 94th minute, during injury time.  Pender scored in every round UCC played (1/4, 1/2 and Final).

Rustlers Collingwood Cup, Queens University Belfast (Upper Malone)
February 05th - Feb 07th 2018
The IUFA run Collingwood Cup has a big change this year.  A round one qualifier has been introduced in January, 3 one off matches at home venues.  While there will be a limit of eight teams in the shortened three day Final event.

The IUFA has come under the FAI in the last couple of years and specific ficture details were finalised today at Queens Univ Dub Pavilion.

CUFL Leagues, play-offs January 2018

After the first round Group stages for the 2017/18 season, the play-offs of the different divisions have been finalised for the New Year. Final group placings on left-hand side in linked webpage. WSCAI run the Womens Premier Division and Maynooth University (holders) looking to keep the title.  In the CUFL,
UCD (holders) at home to Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa.  Maynooth, UCC and IT Carlow have a presence in both Gender competitions.
