Played with both Forsyths at Mount Merrion. Darren would be well worth a punt for any LOI side

Women’s Squad: Manager Sue Ronan (also Senior Womens Republic of Ireland Manager),

Goalkeepers: Eve Badana (Drexel Uni./Unattached), Roisín McCafferty (IT Sligo/Kilmacrennan Celtic)

Defenders: Karen Duggan (UL/Peamount Utd.), Zoe Murphy (UCC/Ballincollig AFC), Sophie Perry (Uni. Of Brighton/Chelsea), Lauren Murphy(UCC/Cork Women’s FC), Seana Cook (DIT/Raheny Utd.), Jessica Gleeson (Waterford IT/Wexford Youths)

Midfielders: Ciara Grant (UCD/Raheny Utd.), Dora Gorman (UCD/Peamount Utd.), Jetta Berrill (UCD/Peamount Utd.), Julie-Ann Russell (UL/Peamount Utd.), Siobhan Killeen (UCD/Raheny Utd.), Emma Hansberry (IT Sligo/Castlebar Celtic), Aileen Gilroy (IT Sligo/IT Sligo)

Forwards: Deirdre Doherty (IT Sligo/Unattached), Shanuagh Jackson (Athlone IT/Castlebar Celtic), Geraldine McLaughlin (IT Sligo/Kilmacrennan Celtic), Sara Lawlor (NUI Maynooth/Peamount Utd.), Catherine Cronin (UCD/Raheny Utd)

Just a one personnel change from the previous list, Midfielder Aileen Gleeson has replaced Megan Campbell.  Gleeson competed in U17 Europeans and U19 Worlds.  She scored a few goals in those competitions. Gleeson was the player that sat some exams of the  Leaving Certificate at Nyon.

Defender Sophie Perry moved from B&H Albion to Chelsea recently.

There's a number of FAI Republic of Ireland Senior Internationals in the Womens team.  Badana, Duggan, Perry, Cooke, Russell,  Grant and Lawlor were all called up for the recent  Senior International friendly v. Austria.

The Women play Canada at today, 17:00 Kazan time. (14:00  Irish Summer Time).

I watched him when he was an U21 regular for UCD.  He scored 4 or 5 goals in a game against Bray Wanderers U21, I associate him with Bray Wanderers after that.

That's a full-time score.  There is only 12 teams in Womens, 3 groups of 4.  1st, 2nd and two lucky 3rd place should qualify for quarters.
Mexico 6-2 PR China was the other result in the group.

I know Eurosport have the contract to carry this and have promised 120 hours of coverage.
Don't know if streaming is available from them.  eurosport Universiade page.

Authorised Streams from the world federation FISU TV
It has selected streamed events throughout each day. Team events but  also including large Athletics coverage, that can be viewed in relation to the Schedule and results page on http://www.kazan2013.com/en
Only Mens Football Final on July 16th appears to be the only Football on the http://www.livefisu.tv site.

Mens quarter-finals
France 0-0 Ireland   (4-3 pens)
Ireland men move to the 5th-8th rank matches losing on penos.  They play Malaysia today (Sunday)

Women 5th- 8th
Chinese Taipei 0-1 Ireland,  Sophie Perry scored after 16'  They play Japan on Monday in their last match and are guaranteed a 5/6 spot.

Very rare for Men and Women to both qualify for the quarters in the same year.  Women have a far better record.  It is a vintage year for Ireland University Football. Especially the teams they were up against.
