Looking back at all the players listed in the opening post of this thread only one of them made it to the big time.....alas it was Jack Grenglish...

That whole 2013-19 underage groups produced very few players, part of the reason we’re struggling now is that they would be todays 24-29 year olds. Only Maguire and Lenihan got caps and both in single figures

Browne, Byrne & O'Dowda not in the age bracket?

Ryan Manning, Chiedozie, Jamie McGrath another couple. Wouldn't really count O'Dowda, Robinson, and Cullen as they came through the English academy system before declaring for Ireland.

For me personally when talking about the lack of talent born between '93 and '98 I specifically refer to those that came through our schoolboy system. Scales will hopefully nail down a starting spot with Ireland and he's born in '98.
I wrote about that a few years ago, I'll do a follow up soon

U16s beat Wales 3-2 to retain the Victory Shield. Ireland had made a number of changes going into this game we're 2-0 down at half time though could have been 5-2 up with the chances we had.

Ireland had three penalties in the second half scoring two with one of those being the final kick of the game.

Romeo Akachukwu being linked with Arsenal and Man City today. Southampton supposedly have made a bid in excess of €500k for the 17 year old.

Still has two years left on his Waterford contract and can't move till next summer when he turns 18. Though given Waterfords links with Fleetwood wouldn't be surprised to see him move to Fleetwood once he turns 18.

Southampton is definitely the move there. Top environment, if he's good enough he'll get first team opportunities, and a good Irish contingent already there.

Was mentioned that Southampton promised him a quick route to first team football. Could just be all talk from Aiden Fitzmaurice.

21 goals in 14 games this season for Casey.

10 in 4 U18 games
11 in 10 U21 games (including London Senior Cup)

Four hat-tricks (3x2 4x1 5x1)

Can be sure that he's already had the English FA in his ear

I'd imagine we are safe. Could be Irish born as he is from the Travelling Community so who knows might not be eligible for England.

Anyway here is the 5 goals. All really well taken. Left foot, right foot and a header in there aswel.

19yo Leigh Kavanagh has travelled with the Brighton team to AEK Athens. Think he's ex Bray?

Can we not just send all our youth players to Brighton?

16 year old U17 midfielder Aaron Moloney made his senior debut for Malaga in the Copa del Rey against Eldense earlier!
Came on as a first half substitute for Hernandez.

Valentino Adedokun on the bench for Brentford.

O'Mahony & Kavanagh on the beech for Brighton.

Long way to go for these lads but we seem to have a fair few knocking on the door. Don't ever remember this many. Law of averages, a few should make it to next level.
It's not me it's you:-)

Brilliant to see
Flying so high, trying to remember
How many cigarettes did I bring along?
When I get down I'll jump in a taxi cab
Driving through London town, to cry you a song
