Yeah Vaughan seems to be developing into a good prospect. Apparently the Irish link is on his mothers side. Anyone know what it is?

Beauty with Vaughan Smallbone or any player like that in attacking midfield is England have so many options in that position it's beyond ridiculous. Players like Maddison Lingard Gallagher Barkley can't get within hailing distance of the squad in general don't mind those promising youngsters I mentioned.

Means if they continue to develop and get up to PL/Championship level its not as likely to be an issue with either when it comes to playing for us.

What would Burnley want with an attacking playmaker Smile. Would be great to see him move to a footballing team - looks to be in the mould of Hoolahan (in technical ability and stature) from the couple of performances I've seen from him.

Knight might be an attacking midfielder but he isn't a playmaker. This has been our issue. Connor Ronan, Jack Byrne are playmakers, but both unproven at senior level. Jamie McGrath has a bit about him but not the requisite skill set to put him in the playmaker category.

I had the same initial reaction but I think they were referring to Harry Vaughan. I would like Knight to get a run somewhere CM. Due to his flexibility he plays a number of different roles for derby but think he can be a great box to box midfielder.

The Fergusons Zefis Kenny's will always get snapped up when they hit 18 or in Zefis case younger via the continent but it will massively benefit us in future if young attackers like Cassidy plays men's football in the LOI at 18-21. As opposed to the slaughterhouse that is youth football in England.

It's a great move for the lad hopefully it will go well. He definitely has potential.

100% agree with this, great move for Bohs to get him, but great to see for the player too. A few months playing at mens level will do him the world of good. He's coming back to an environment where the club will want him to succeed too.

I dont understand why we dont get more of these young lads coming back from UK clubs on loan when they hit 18-19...

Look at Lawal at Celtic maybe. Wouldnt it do him the world of good now to come back and play a season with the likes of Rovers.

Young Kavanagh at Boro, Andy Moran at Brighton, Ollie O Neill at Fulham etc... Shooting the lights out at U23 level in the UK but a season in LOI would be highly beneficial.

That is why it was such a disappointment that Joe Hodge's time at Derry was destroyed with an injury. It could have been great in that he is a relatively elite underage player for us and could have blazed a trail for others.

Because the facilities are mostly sh*t and it's not a full time professional league.

Joe Hodge came to Derry on loan from Man City but unfortunately got inured. Pat's had a keeper on loan from Liverpool last season. Bohs are getting Cassidy from Watford . Dundalk signed a Welsh U21 international from Swansea a few days ago.

I'm not a LOI man but its obvious loans can and do happen.

We will begin see more of it as more teams go full time & facilities improve. Interested to see how Cassidy fares coming from a 23's set up into the LOI. Eoghan Stokes went to Bohs when released from Leeds a couple of seasons ago & did ok. Cassidy more highly thought of so we''ll see.
