Looking back at all the players listed in the opening post of this thread only one of them made it to the big time.....alas it was Jack Grenglish...

That whole 2013-19 underage groups produced very few players, part of the reason we’re struggling now is that they would be todays 24-29 year olds. Only Maguire and Lenihan got caps and both in single figures Browne, Byrne & O'Dowda not in the age bracket?

Ryan Manning, Chiedozie, Jamie McGrath another couple. Wouldn't really count O'Dowda, Robinson, and Cullen as they came through the English academy system before declaring for Ireland.

For me personally when talking about the lack of talent born between '93 and '98 I specifically refer to those that came through our schoolboy system. Scales will hopefully nail down a starting spot with Ireland and he's born in '98.
