Was on the bench for their friendly against Luxembourg in March. Transfermarkt says he left Bournemouth at the start of January and signed for Glenavon fc last month.

If Bazunu turns out to have the International career that Given did, then any goalkeeper currently over the age of 15 shouldn't bank on getting many caps for Ireland. Sickner.

Surprised by that, other than being fast, he hasn't looked great the handful of times I've seen him play. I know he's only a young lad but he looked to have a heavy first touch any time he received the ball and his finishing was poor enough too, reminded me of someone like Shane Long in that regard in that you give them any time to think about it they make a bit of a bags of it.

AC Milan have made Heffernans loan permanent. Think the fee at the time was something like 30k-50k, not too sure.

Best of luck to the lad but you'd think he was going to be playing in Serie A next season and not for their under 19s the way Kenny's Kids and the likes are going on about it. Still not sure why this move is treated any differently to someone like Trent Kone Doherty going to Liverpool to play for their youth setup. Especially as Italian football is not exactly renowned for promoting young talent to the first team.

The only reason Heffernan is in Italy and not with Liverpool, Brighton or some other English club is because of Brexit restrictions.

Ronnie McGrath on this Peilcast podcast. He says his father's parents are from Dublin, Dolphin's Barn. His dad was always a big Ireland fan and he referenced that they are big Celtic fans. Said he had a right job trying to prove his qualification because his grandfather was born in Birmingham before move back to Ireland as a baby. So he had no birth there to prove. And had to go through church documents etc to prove his grandmother's birth here.

Played for England at under-15 and under-16 level, getting capped as recently as twelve months ago. Skipped age groups by getting called up for Ireland's under-19 team recently.


Seeing the quality of players he'd be competing with if he "picked" England, he's probably made the pragmatic decision.
