Seems to have endeared himself to the Barnsley supporters by getting in a scrap with half the Stoke backroom team on his debut.

Some turnaround after failing to earn a deal at a National League club.

Champ Manager regen Cristiano Fitzgerald has been added to the Boavista’s senior squad

You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

I presume he is Irish, world class, and willing to swim the channel to play for his country?

Lets hope he gets hon der marck sooner rather than later. Seriously though, good to see another young midfielder getting on the pitch in the Championship. By the law of averages, you'd have to think one or two of them will make the big time!

I have stood up for Connolly on here, but reading this, he would need to grow up and quickly! Talented lad, perhaps our best prospect imo, but he'll flush it all away if he's not careful

Can’t argue with any of that.

Here's a quote from the article on a slightly different point....

Loan spells in the Football League turn boys into men, which is why virtually every single player in Gareth Southgate’s England squad at Euro 2020 (in 2021) had turned out in the Championship or lower at some point in their careers.

I wonder is this true? If someone has a bit of time on their hands (I'm busy at work today obviously!), would it be worth verifying? Cetainly does give credence to the argument about our young players going out on loan to lower league clubs rather than rotting away in the reserves of the Prem League team year after year

I don't think that's true at all - Off the top of my head Sterling, Sancho, Saka, Rashford, Arnold, Greenwood (although not at the Euros), Henderson, Rice and I'm sure there's more didn't spend time on loan in lower divisions.

Seemed to get missed but Ollie O'Neill was on the bench for Fulham last night. Have heard about him but know little is he an attacking player?

Sounds like a variety of mineral water, or else a new strain of covid 19

Don't know has he a thread but Johnny Kenny can very much be thrown in with Idah Connolly Obafemi Parrott Ferguson as potential attacking prospect. Looks really talented and just turned 18.

Hope these rumours of Celtic aren't true and he stays at Sligo another season at least. Men's football allowing him to develop and he's scoring regularly. Interest is going to coming knocking soon.

2 great goals but hes no longer an "underage squads best prospect". Hes 23 turning 24.

I noticed Louie Barry is on loan at Ipswich. Very much a rotational/squad option at the moment but he's just turned 18 he's still a kid. Is still eligible for us?

Could be one to keep an eye on long term?

More or less gone from us given his underage international career

Rotational or squad option? Maybe that should provide some context to those who wanted to write Troy Parrott for an average time at the same club (and a level above) at the same age. Troy is 16 months his senior.
