That article mentions the Lithuania situation. They turned up with an all-green kit and needed a change of colours.
Thinking of other weird kit changes. France at the World Cup in 1978 had to wear the green and white stripes of a local Argentinian club side in one of their games.

Think we turned up in France with no kit back in the early 70's. First time we wore adidas too.

Ah right, didn't realize it was also Lithuania. Presume if the Albanian situation happened these days, it would be a walkover for refusing to play and trying to blackmail the FAI

I have a memory of Dundalk having to wear Cork City jerseys at a game in Cork in 1990 or maybe even 91. It wasn't the game where we won the League down there but I am pretty sure this happened. I never remember seeing Dundalk in an away jersey until that game in Cork in 91.

Isn’t there a story from Cork City playing a European game back in the early 2000s that the visiting team (Deportivo La Coruna is ringing a bell) stayed in a hotel in Cork the night before where there was a wedding. Lads from the wedding stumbled in to the room where the gear was being stored and stole all the jerseys. They had to play in Cork City’s away jerseys.
Anyone have any idea if there’s even a semblance of truth to that story?

Possibly, but wasn't Deportivo as they only played Shels. |

I could have sworn I was at Cork City vs Bray in 2006/7 ish and Bray togged out in City's away kit for some reason. I was young but have a distinct memory of it. The kit was black and gold around the capital of culture era. Anyone remember this?

Were the two new keepers kits used at all? I guess there will be an announcement this week on Castore in the lead up to Christmas |

Looks like the two keeper jerseys were pulled from Elverys too and will never be worn.
Could be a collectors item in the longrun if anybody grabbed them! |

I spotted that! There must have been a shortage seeing as JACC are gone. They were all sold out very early from Elveries too so thee must have been a very little of them. I bet JC has a lash of them for sale on twitter :D

I reckon supply issues. They're the listed as the 22-23 shirts like the Home/Away kits are and the keepers have still been wearing the 20-21 GK shirts this campaign.
