The early part of the statement was sounding like a possible resignation. What a yawn after all that build up. They are actual lunatics. The Eurocrats must have been impressed by the sheer pointlessness of it.

A whole lot of nothing, and undoubtedly more ground conceded. I’m not sure what was the point of that. The ground rules remains the same and May has done nothing of substance. A waste of breath.

That was a disastrously midsjudged speech by May.

The emptiness of the content apart from setting down another red line for herself, the hubris, jingoism, the imagining "the people" as a singular being, the threats, the intemperate "crush the saboteurs" bullying nature of her language, the grandstanding.

She has a remarkable emotional stupidity and it's so easy to see how she continually rubs people up the wrong way. She's almost Basil Fawlty-like in her awkwardness, completely tone deaf.

News of this was officially broken by Varadkar. The amount of hostility for him and Ireland on twitter for butting into their affairs is something to behold. Would May have asked him to let that information out or was his acting off the cuff?

Not a suprise. They simply can't comprehend that Ireland is actually their equal and not a mere British satellite state.

Be a tough one considering Jeremy Beadle died 11 years ago, unless that was all part of the con

Over 800,000 on the petition to revoke Article 50 now. I wonder if it is the biggest petition ever on that site. It keeps crashing because of the traffic load.
