Not a great result for May despite the initial optics. 117 against her is a poor result. There are around 80 brexiteers which means another 37 are against her amongst remainers. Robert Peston had tweeted earlier- 130 against and May is in dire trouble, 100 against and it is nothing has changed whilst 80 would be her strong and stable(ish) so make of that what you will.

It's just what a reflection what the vote yesterday would of looked like.
The projections were there but it's never been official, she now knows she has 117 rebels against her Brexit plan. It's not a good look for her at all but apparently we live in a democracy where you can delay your own execution by months for your own personal interests rather than the country's interests.

But why won't Brexiteers accept the will of the Conservative parliamentary party and accept the result of the vote? Why won't they accept that May is enacting the will of the people? Why won't they accept the result of this particular election? Why do they have a problem with the parliamentary party? Why do they have a problem with the biggest party in parliament being led by the person most in that party want to lead it? Why do they have a problem with parliamentary sovereignty when that is exactly what the 2016 referendum is about? Because they're duplicitous tory c**nts, that's why. C**nts.

It's not the result they don't accept. It's the fact within the terms of leaving the EU they'll still be heavily regulated by the European Court after they've left. If Theresa May is acting upon the will of the people then I'm the secret buyer in talks with Mike Ashley to take over Newcastle Utd. It's been rotten to the core for decades now, probably since about John Major, I mean Cameron had a period of it was a full blue government but that was down to The Opposition being weak rather them being strong, which is still the case.

Why do they trumpet about 52/48 being a decisive will of the British people yet reject a 67/33 result Can see a second referendum coming on mays deal or no brexit as parliament is gridlocked If she wins she goes and that’s her legacy if she loses it’s somebody else’s problem

so if there is another referendum, what do they put on the ticket??
do they give three options? - walk with no deal - take may's deal - cancel brexit not entirely sure how it is worked out. and if 'cancel brexit' isn't on the ticket, then there could be sweet f all voting, with the rest probably spoiling

Parlimentary Party and internal party democracy is fickle and varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. The EU has been a divisive issue for years in the UK and different parliamentarians will have different views on what Brexit should be. With the exception of the irrelevant Liberal Democrat’s most parties are struggling for any consistency in the issue. Some will view Brexit as leaving with the best deal possible, while others undoubtedly support a hard Brexit. I honestly don’t believe it’s about duplicity. It’s the product of nobody having a clue.

This is the political version of a get rich (or even richer) quick scheme. The Moggster, Redwood, Farage and many more are in line to earn massive windfalls if they manage to crowbar the UK out of the EU without a deal. They don't care if they leave a trail of carnage behind as they will make fortunes on the back of a weakened sterling etc. A lot of MP's have gigs on the side like the Moggster with Somerset Capital. Another MP whose name escapes me made £350m on the night of the referendum having betted against sterling.
